Paint the City Pink Charity Auction Questions

With the closing deadline of the Paint the City Pink fundraiser entries coming up, I have a couple of questions about how and when people would like the auction to happen.

When people requested a painting extension I was all up for it. The more people take part, the more money were raise at the end of the day.
But, I didn't think about the timing of it.

The original plan was to run the auction for 2 weeks starting on Dec 2nd.
Is this a bit close to the holidays though? Would it be better to be help in January instead?

The way I wanted to work it was to have a post on here with ALL of the pictures in. Each pic links to its own post where you can leave you bids.
Think that would work?
Have any other ideas?

Any other thoughts are welcome.

On a side not, I have been asked if I am entering minis myself for the auction and if I am eligible for the prizes?
I AM entering minis for the auction. I am NOT eligible to win any prizes. Hope that clears that up.

  1. Just run the auction in Dec, people will prob not want to spend much money in Jan either as they will be frazzled from crimbo and/or the new year sales. It is for a good cause so people will put their hands in their pockets for it i just dont think Dec or Jan will make a difference.

  2. Yeah, I'm with Andrew, post christmas is sales. There is no *good* time but 2 days after payday in December? That'll work.

  4. Do it pre xmas if you can, while people are being generous. January people tend to be tapped out from all the holiday expenses.
