New for Pulp City - V.H, Blacksmith, Red Bella, Primates of Power and more!

The streets of Pulp City are getting a lot of new Heroes and Villains now that they have started monthly releases.

First up are V.H and Blacksmith for the Blood Watch Heroes. Released last month they are a stunning looking pair of minis and great in game.
V.H is a level 3 Leader that adds a lot to the Faction for the new Supreme Edition of the game.
Blacksmith is a level 2 Tank that is great at backing up and supporting the rest of the team.

This month we will be seeing reinforcements for ARC. The Ape Revolutionary Committee.
Red Bella hasn't had the model previewed yet but her artwork (above) has been around since the first edition Pulp City Guide was released. As for her rules, we know she will be a level 2 and her origin will be Mystery but that is all we know so far.
She also has some little friends.......

The Primates of Power are 3 little Supremes, each a different Origin.
There has been talk of them either boosting the whole team, team mates of the same Origin or even a single level 2 Supreme up to a level 3 Leader. Looking forward to finding out which bits are real.

Next month the Coven will be getting some love in the shape of Papa Zombie (top) and Comte Vendredi (bottom).
Not a whole lot is known about these 2 yet but Comte looks awesome and I'm sure Papa will look just as good.
After that, who knows? New Starter Sets maybe?

You may have seen that there is a 500th Post Giveaway (link) running on here at the moment with lots of Deep Wars and DreadBall goodies.
Why mention this in a Pulp City post? Well, if the ToaTS Facebook Page hits 500 likes (only 17 to go) by the time the giveaway ends, we will be adding in some 'Supreme' PC prizes!

Which of these new additions do you like the most?

This resculpt of one of the earliest Pulp City models (below) is stunning and in my opinion, a massive improvement!
It has been mentioned that Guerilla 2 might be available for a couple of people taking part in the Pulp City Supreme Edition Open Beta starting next week!

They have also announced the start of a new wave of releases. These will be coming out in individual blisters, EVERY MONTH, starting in Feb.

A little bit of info found on Facebook today also says there will be 'Build Our Own Supreme' rules coming in 2014 for Supreme Edition!

There has been all sorts of news about Pulp City recently.

First up is this teaser pic posted on the Pulp City Facebook Page

Looks like the Covens Dead Guard to me.
Check out the artwork posted a while back

This was also posted at the same time.

"A little sneak peak at what's coming this week. The new Pulp Monsters website will be up if server gods and one particular server guy helps us with it. There will be an update on what's going on and a LOT of long due fluff."

The new Pulp City website is almost here. Yay!
And its going to include LOADS of new background fluff for the Supremes. Not only will that be posted from day one, MORE fluff will be added on a weekly basis!
You can find the currently posted background >>HERE<<

MONSTERS are very close as well.
Quoted from Beermonkey on the Pulp City Forums -

"I've spent damn near the last 10 hours working on getting this thing done. I'm talking layout, (it won't be great I'm no layout artist) adding in some things that we were originally going to be left out: New Resources, Traps, Plot Updates, and more work on fluff. "

Not only will there be some preset rules for the official Pulp City Monster kit (above) and others, there will be rules to create ANY type of Beast, Elder or Robot you can imagine!
To top it off it will also contain new artwork, new Plots (scenarios), new Resources and even MORE fluff!

The Covens 'Dead Guard' Artwork Preview from Pulp City

"In most of the covert operations, the Strike Team relies on the support of Coven Soldiers, highly trained Minions recruited from the best mercenaries on the market.
though never seen, a rumour claims that the best of them can penetrate the thin veil between life and death.
Felling neither pain nor exertion, the so called Dead Guard is a handful, but it also provides invaluable support for the Strike Team" - Pulp City Guide Pg101

Pulp City posted the above preview on their Facebook Page today of one of the Covens new Supremes(?).
The Dead Guard!
A stunning piece and I cant wait to see if the mini matches the artwork like all their recent releases have.

Due to be released in the next wave with the new Coven Lvl3 Villain Papa Zombie! (below)
I'm guessing the Dead Guard is going to be a Lvl2 Supreme as most of the sub-factions are being taken to Lvl12 in the next wave and that would add up from what we know so far.

What do you think of it?
Will these tempt you to take the lead of the secretive Coven?

If you like the look of the above Supremes then check out my 'Future Supremes' artwork post >>HERE<< to see a huge range of other characters.

Hmmmm......... Its gone quiet................

(What sort of blog would this be without a funny cat pic eh? )

I know the blog has been a little quieter than usual over the last week or 2, but I though I would pop in quickly and let you all know why.
A small group of us are putting on a Pulp City participation game at the PAW 2012 convention in a couple of weeks. This means there has been a lot to do so everything will be ready.
Mainly it has been painting. Supremes, buildings, portaloos, fountains and more.
Then there is working out exactly what we want to use. Currently we have 4 teams to play about with. Blood Watch, the Coven and 2 of my own creations - the Monsters of Mayhem and the Caped Crusaders.
(more on those last 2 as the minis are finished)

At the same time we have been putting together a couple of battle reports to follow on from the last one - The Lesser of Two Evils.
These are going to become a continuous 'comic book' on the Tales of a Tabletop Skirmisher' blog.
This is where we would love a bit of input from yourselves.
The series needs a name. Any ideas?
How would you like to see the reports laid out? The same as the first or maybe looking more like an actual comic book?

Finally on the Pulp City side of things there have been some BIG projects. Shhhhh...... they are a secret

While all this is going on, Loudo (Andy) has started teaching me Malifaux. The Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits are sooooo much fun. Hope to have more on that soon as well. Painting, reports etc.

So there we have it.
Any questions?

Pulp City News inc New Villain - The Shadow Mask, Monster Rules + Future Plans

Got LOADS of Pulp City news for you today straight from Morf on the Pulp City Forums

- We are lining up with the printjob for the next 4 boxes - unfortunately everybody prints season cards and calendars right now, so it will take some.

- Monster rules will see first a free online - pdf release combined with them coming back to store.

- Next focus is fleshing out the factions as mentioned earlier, so after this hefty base, we'll get around releasing Green Emperor and Terror Cotta Warrior which will give you enough options to field a Level 12 Jade Cult, and Red Bella and Primates of Power box. Then Papa Zombie box and V.H. & Blacksmith for Blood Watch.
This way you will have all the initial teams aside Forgotten done!

- December will see finally first pics of my (and Liam C's) little fantasy collector line, Reaver Lords which at some point my turn into my dream dungeon crawl board game. The miniatures are of astounding quality, slightly bigger than Pulp City to adapt to the unbelievable amount of details.

This all looks great.
The Monster rules getting a free PDF to start with is going to be alot of fun. Want to pick up one of the kits asap just for the size of it.
As an example here is a pic of the Monster (80mm base), Giant Hadron (80mm base) and Sgt Bale (32mm mini on 30mm base) from Pulp Citizens blog. Link in the blog list on the right>>>>>>

Its HUGE!!!!
And this is just one of the many builds in the kit. A selection of the parts can be seen below. (click any picture to view larger).
This kit can make either an Elder or Beast Monster. Cant decide what to make myself yet. Love all 4.

Then there are the future release plans. Lots more for the Jade Cult (Green Emperor + Terror Cotta Warriors), ARC (Red Bella + Primates of Power), Blood Watch (V.H + Blacksmith) and Coven (Papa Zombie + ?)
More on those as it is revelaed.
And you can find all the current background in the Pulp City Guide or on thier Website and Forum.

Finally for this section of news, the new range Reaver Lords will be seen for the first time very soon. If the artwork in the back of the PC Guide is anything to go by then they will be stunning!

Next up is the latest preview
The Shadow Mask

What do we know about him so far?
The Shadow Mask is a Lvl 1 Villain from the Jade Cult
In a box with Tanuki. (Not yet seen) Due out in the next wave.
The arch enemy of Chronin. You can read about them in her background HERE
All his rules have the word 'Shadow' in :)

Here are some other shots of the mini - remember, you can click any image to view larger

I really like the dynamic pose of this one. And the fact he has 3 claws on each arm makes me want him even more. Going to paint him in black and yellow. 3 guessess why. (Btw, your first 2 dont count)
Will definatly be picking up the next wave asap.
Until then I have alot of scenery to work on, Supremes to paint and might get a Monster!!!!!
