Hi! Welcome back to another Malifaux from Mars post and today we will talk about the first faction available in the world of Malifaux and all the Masters available. The Guild is, in my humble opinion, the most straight forward faction out of all the other factions in Malifaux. They are packed with hard hitting models that prefer a direct confrontation and physical damage. The Guild is probably the easiest faction for new players to start learning Malifaux. In Malifaux, there is no law above Guild Law. Although these laws do bring some protection to the citizens, order is prized above mercy; because ultimately it is order that keeps the gears of the soulstone trade turning. We’re back with Malifaux from Mars and today we’re actually going to learn how to play Malifaux! Are you excited yet? I know I am! I remember my first Malifaux game (demoed by Ebonstar); it was dramatic, it was exciting, it was easy to learn, and more importantly… I had fun! Unfortunately I can’t cover every little rule on how to play and I can’t cover full stats of any character because that is breaking Wyrd-Miniature’s copyright laws, but I will try to help you learn the general idea of Malifaux. Malifaux From Mars

First off, thank you Hendybadger for the opportunity to write for an awesome blog like Tales of a Tabletop Skirmisher. I’ve been a reader ever since the Paint the City Pink Auction/Competition was announced and was hooked!

I run a Youtube channel called Voices of Mars and one of my main series is called Wargamers on a Budget. To be honest, I rejected Malifaux before thinking that it was one of the most expensive games out there. But after much research and some demos, I was convinced that Malifaux is actually one of the cheapest war games out there ($25-$40 per box and you are ready to go). I figured Malifaux will fit in quite nicely within my budget and absolutely perfect for my Wargamers on a Budget series!

Before the introduction, let me remind you that this series is based on my personal experience and personal opinion on Malifaux. It was never intended to promote Malifaux nor was it intended to offend/degrade anyone or any company. So read on with an open mind J
