At the beginning of Feb Varagon at the Pen and Lead Blog set a 2012 11+1 painting challenge.
Its mainly for those that always find an excuse not to paint. 12 minis in 11 months. Easy right? Hmmmm
I'm painting up some Pulp City minis as I have LOADS of those to do.
My first painting list was a basic variety of Supremes but I have decided to change it around a little.
If I can get at least 12 done I will be happy. More will just be a bonus.

New Pulp City Supremes available to order - Inc NINJAS!
As the title says, the new wave of Pulp City Supremes are finally available to pre-order from the Web-store (link). Should be ready to ship on the 13th.
All can be seen below. Click pics to view larger
The first set includes Doom Train and Night Fright. Bringing the Necroplane sub-faction up to a full L12 team. Yay!
Doom Train , a L2 necro-energy driven suit of armour, has been haunting the dreams of Iron Train. But what or who is he?
Night Fright and his trusty sky-board Leech are 2 L1s on one base! Could it be the remains of the legendary Night Fly who disappeared during the Necroplane Invasion? His statue still stands in the city to this day.
Crimson Oni and Foxxy Blade are the first members to be seen from the 'Way of the Fist and Blade'
Heroic L2 Oni had his powers increased by claiming a Phoenix feather. Does he have a connection to the Jade Cult though?
Foxxy Blade is a L1 Hero/Villain and a master of anything with a blade. She is going to be very useful to all interested parties in the city.
Next up is the first pack for the Jade Cult. Villains from Little Asia.
The Green Serpent is the L2 daughter of the Green Emperor himself. A master assassin and ninja, she can take out anybody anywhere.
Her support comes in the form on the Jade Cult Ninja minions. 2 bodies, 4 heads, 4 pairs of weapon/arms, endless options. The ninjas can also be used to back up Crimson Oni if your more of a Hero player.
Not only are these going to look great in Pulp City, they could be used as ninjas in many other games. Maybe the Hand? The Foot? Another body part?
The final box in this release is also for the Jade Cult. A pair of scary L1 Villains.
Shadow Mask is the chosen of the Green Emperors court and a highly skilled assassin. Also the arch enemy of Heavy Metals Chronin.
Tanuki is almost a legendary beast. An enhanced raccoon that's skilled in all sorts of potions and powders.
That's all the new toys then.
I may have sort of ordered all of them. Whoops!
Oh well, birthday prezzie to myself for later this month!
Whats in store next for Pulp City? Cant wait to find out.

Pulp City - Raccoon, Ninjas and Full Release Wave Minis Shown
Pulp City has shown the full and official pictures for ALL the models in their next release wave today. YAY!
There are some very impressive and stunning models in there as well. (click pics to view larger)
I know I have shown these as each appeared but this is the whole set together.
Starting with Tanuki (above)
A Lvl1 Villain Raccoon. Part of the Jade Cult and a master of potions.
Its such a characterful looking mini. And I love that fact that he is wearing a mask. The one animal that has a natural mask chose to wear another! And the oriental feel has been captured perfectly.
His box partner is going to be the Shadow Mask
Another Lvl1 Villain of the Jade Cult.
But the Shadow Mask has appeared in the background already. Quite far back as well.
His position in the Emperors court is the arch enemy of Chronin from the Heavy Metal team. You can read more about that >>HERE<<
I am a big fan of his 'claws'. Almost like a familiar metal boned mutant. Which makes my own colour scheme very easy to pick. And this is such a dynamic pose. Really gives a sense of action.
The second box for the Jade Cult has 3 models in.
First up - The Green Serpent
A Lvl 2 Villain Supreme.
The daughter of the Green Emperor himself and master of the blade.
Another beautiful models. The sculpt looks perfect and I cant wait to get this one in my own hands.
Instead of another Supreme, the Green Serpent is going to be boxed with some Minions.
The Jade Cult Ninjas (I known I have shown 2 of these before but thought it would be nice to see them all in one place)
Another set of VERY dynamic models. And what is a comic book world without a ninja army?
The sets come with 2 bodies, 4 heads and 4 pairs of weapons. All can be mixed and matched giving you an almost endless amount of combinations.
They will also be sold on the online Pulp City store in packs of 2, without the Green Serpent, so you can field them as part of the Way of the Fist and Blade.
Whats the Way of Fist and Blade you ask?
Well its another new sub-faction with these next releases. And it has also been mentioned that its a way to mix a very unlikely group of Heros in a martial arts alliance. Including Chimp-Chi, Chronin and Sgt Bale
The first mini for The Way of Fist and Blade is Foxxy Blade
A Lvl 1 Supreme (I think) and master of bladed weapons.
A wonderful looking mini that gives a very different look and feel to the others in the range but, at the same time, fits in perfectly with them.
Foxxys box partner is Crimson Oni
A Lvl2 (again, I think) and also Morfs avatar over of the Pulp City Forums
"Bringing the kung-fu violence to the Pulp City streets! When one of the shijin, the Phoenix, had fallen to the Black Beast, Oni was there to pick up its feather before the fire died. He got transformed from a martial artist into a divine fighting machine!"
And that's exactly how he looks. Pure power and technique to deliver justice to any Villains he meets.
There is also the added touch of the 'Phoenix Feather' on the back of his belt.
To finish off the set of releases are 2 more evil beings to fill out the ranks of the Necroplane sub-faction.
Night Fright + Leech
A very different model compared to other Supremes.
Not only is he a Supreme riding a sky-board, the board is also a Supreme.
Night Fright (rider) and Leech (board) are 2 Lvl 1 Supremes in 1 model.
Its a stunning model that looks even better that the artwork in the rulebook. Not only am I looking forward to getting this mini to fill out my Necroplane force, I'm excited to see how the combination is going to work.
You cant have a small fast guy without a big nasty one though. Enter....
Doom Train!
A Lvl2 Necroplane creation that has been haunting the dreams of, Heavy Metals, Iron Train.
Is it a clone? An alternate dimension Iron Train? Maybe a zombie from the future?
Which ever it is, I LOVE IT!!!!!
My favourite models out of this entire set. The look and feel are very creepy. And it fits in perfectly with the rest of the Necroplane faction.
Well, that was alot to take in!
These models should be available to buy very soon.
What do you think of them?
On a similar topic, well the same game anyway, I'm on a search.
Pulp City have released 6 Ltd Ed minis in the past (that I know of). Reporter June Summers, the Red Baron, Herald, Elder Grimm, Hulking Grimm and Driller Grimm.
I have been called an OCD collector for any ranges I use. I want every model there is.
With Pulp City this has turned out out be every mini they have produced. Whoops :)
I have a Hulking Grimm but I'm still hunting the other 5. This is where you may be able to help.
Do you or does someone you know have any of these they would be willing to part with?
In trades or via VERY good offers on Paypal?
If the answer was a yes, please contact me on here, Facebook, or my email - hendybadger@aol.com
So, thats all for now.

The Lesser of Two Evils - Pulp City Battle
At the start of this week Steve and myself had a really fun game of Pulp City and even put together a battle report for once!
It was a Lvl8 Escape game. Villians v Villains.
(Click on pictures to see larger versions)
The Lesser of 2 Evils!
The Teams-
(Me) Necroplane / Water
Supreme Zed - Soul Trap,Path of Destiny
Sanguine Night - Draku
Mourn
Seabolt - Natures Boon
Tritonius
Agendas - Kill Moonchild, Save Seabolt, Spare Le Murtiple
(Steve) Coven / ARC / Forgotten
Silverager
Le Murtiple
Loup Garou II
Moon Child - First Aid kit
Hellsmith - Hammer
Agendas - Save Le Murtiple, Spare Sanguine and another I have forgotten. (Along with half the resources he had)
The Saints of the Coven had managed to get thier hands on something very special. The 'Heart of Neptune'
A deep blue gem thats said to give massive control over the oceans to someone mentally stong enough to use it. While the Saints were working on a way to harness its power they sent Loup Garou and Moonchild to gather some help and defend the area from any possible attack. And with something that rare and powerful in the middle of Pulp City, there WAS going to be an attack at some point.
Across town Sanguine had heard whispers of this 'Heart'. All that power could be very useful the next time Dr.Tenebrous plans an attack on the city. He was going to need help to get it though. Some muscle to start with along with speed and Supremes that could attack from on high or get around flanks and blockades.
The call went in for the help of Supreme Zed and Mourn. And then he remembered someone he had worked with months ago. Seabolt. If anyone could control the Hearts massive power it would be the man of water himself! And the team grew. Seabolt arrived with Tritonious in tow. Another Supreme that could draw power from the gem maybe?
As the two teams came into each others view across the block, there was an eerie silence for a second.
Heading stright for the opposing muscle, Supreme Zed headed over the warehouse.
On the other side of the block Le Murtiple ducked and dived around cars to try and get a better position.
Moonchild and Loup Garou rushed forward howling with Le Murtiple covering them from all sides. Mourn took to the skies to spot Hellsmith and Silverager appear from a side street and called back to Sanguine to reposition.
Seabolt seemed to become almost transparent and the rush of water shot down the street with a hulking mass behind.
The small rush of water that was Seabolt drew upon a burst water pipe (we forgot to put down some nature scenery to start with) and called a massive tidal wave to sweep down the street. Taking cars, streelights and even Supremes with it.
Tritonius managed to evade a swipe from Loup Garou after seing him fly over the damaged car and retaliated with awesome powers that turned Loup Garous body almost as transparent as Seabolts. The next swipe just splashed across the chest of Tritonius doing no harm.
Drawing on the power of the water around him, Tritonius took one last swipe at the werewolf leaving him lifeless on the floor. Moonchild had seen the whole situation play out and soon headed straight for the watery beast herself.
Le Murtiple tried to close in on Seabolt and manged to cause mass injuries before he became liquid again and slipped away.
On the other side of the container yard Silverager had disposed of Draku leaving a VERY mean vampire closing in. During this chaos, Mourn had managed to fly above the buildings and slip away unnoticed and headed in the direction of the Saints tower.
Hellsmith roared and looked to the sky. To the side of the sun was a red and blue shape that seemed to be getting larger. Zed headed stright for Hellsmith from 10 stories with no sign of stopping.
Hellsmith braced himself for the impact. It was a direct hit. But Hellsmith did not lose his footing and swung his mighty hammer at the undead being inbedded in the concrete.
Unfortunatly Hellsmith didnt swing his hammer hard enough and Supreme Zed stumbled to his feet again. With mass rage, Zed pummeled the god more and more until he stopped twitching.
Seeing both Loup Garou and the god of the forge taken down around him, Silverager headed for the closet target. Which happened to be Sanguine. And with only a couple of hits with his robotic arms he stopped the vampire in his tracks. Sanguine wasnt getting back up any time soon.
Tritonius had spotted Moonchild heading in his direction and after a quick look around he grabbed the closest car and swung it in her direction.
Which didnt end well for the were-coyote. Her last breath was taken under a car.
After finishing off the vampire, Silverager looked around for another target. Supreme Zed had already fled the scene so the only member of the opposing team left was Tritonius. The silver back charged in his direction. Picking up a car as he passed.
Using all 4 arms and a huge amount of rage he launched the car at the muscled monstrocity infront of him.
The force of the hit took Tritonious off his feet and left him pinned to the floor unable to move his limbs.
But this was too late. The Necroplane forces had managed to break through and took the 'Heart of Neptune' for thier own experiments.
Steve managed only 1 of his agendas and I luckily managed to pull off all 3.
Leaving the final AGP result as Steve 2-11 Me
The casualties
The survivors
These last 2 pics are really for Simon, Leon and Andrew. See I HAVE started painting!!!
Looking forward to the next game. Probably tonight.

Recent Pulp City Clash - Necroplane v ARC v Heavy Metal
This week we had a VERY fun Pulp City clash. Abit of a mess around really and teaching a new player at the same time.
It was a Lvl5 Encounter using the Smackdown Plot and no Agendas. (It was a teaching game afterall)
And the teams? ARC (Ape Revolutionary Commity), Necroplane (Other dimension evil) and Heavy Metal (Technology based good guys)
Necroplane (Me, only used 1 of these before)
Supreme Zed - Path + Blessing
Sanguine Night - Draku
Mourn - Soul Trap
ARC (Steve, never used any ARC before)
Dr.Red - Weapon Crate
Silverager - not sure
Le Murtiple - not sure again
Heavy Metal (Liam, never played before)
Iron Train - High Octane + First Aid Kit
Dr.Mercury - Mercurial Matix
Chronin - Spare Parts
So onto the fun bit. The PICTURES. (Painting has nearly begun. Honestly!)
The action kicks off in a cul-de-sac near the industrial secion of Pulp City.
All 3 teams head as fast as they can into the parking lot. With Dr.Red grabbing a weapon crate containign an AK-47. An orangutan with an AK-47! How awesome is that?
Chronin doesnt like the look of the heavily armed orangutan so charges in with several blows and doing a serious bit of damage
She was closly followed by Dr.Mercury who got liquified by ARC. Only for Chronin to re build him just in time for it to happen again.
Silverager took onto the long time dead Supreme Zed but couldnt tear off enough limbs before being taken down himself.
Iron Train thought it was a good idea to lauch a car at Sanguine, Draku and Mourn. But with amazingly quick reactions the vampires ducked out of the way and Mourn flew over the top.
All this time, nobody noticed that there were now three ,yes THREE Le Murtiples running around.
The fight between Dr.Red, 3 Le Murtiples and Chronin soon ended when Supreme Zed came flying out of the sky and landed in the middle of it. Leaving only the lemurs alive.
Elsewhere, Mourn started tearing off pipes and valves from Iron Trains armour.
Iron Train wasnt happy with this so smashed Mourn into the floor in an explosion of souls! As the souls crept into the now open valves they took his own with them.
This didnt leave many Supremes in the area. Only Sanguine (who was too far from the action), Supreme Zed (laying on the floor after hitting it from 50 feet above) and 3 Le Murtiples (piling onto Zed). The lemur copies did thier job very well and finaly put the zombie back where he belongs
The last turn was very close. 1 Le Murtiple and Sanguine left. As the lemur took cover behind the cars the vampire slowly raised from the floor, floated over the vehicles and sunk his teeth into the small mammal. Ending the last turn with no AP left and a VERY lucky dice roll.
We all loved this game. Full of soo much action, several 'comic book' moment and even more comedy ones!
Roll on the next game

New Pulp City Villain - DOOM TRAIN!!!
Something stunning has just appeared on the Pulp City facebook page.
Doom Train
The new Villain for the Necroplane Supremes
Wow! I LOVE this mini. Looks even better than the artwork.
What will he do? Dont know. But it has been suggested he will be 'Energy' based and not 'Strenght' based like the similar Hero, Iron Train
Im going to assum he is a Level 2 but who knows?
Is he an evil Iron Train from a different dimension?
Or a reanimated Iron Train Zed?
Maybe a clone or copy?
Really looking forward to getting him in my Necroplane team with his boxset partner/s
Night Fright and Leech
