HUGE Knight Models Update. New Site, Batman Releases, HD Rules, Marvel News, Crew Builder and more!

WOW! It's a massive amount of Knight models news today.
A brand new website with HD rules cards, models listed by crew and more.

First up is the Arkham Knight Batmobile. The first resin model in the KM Legends range.

Next we have the huge and stunning Arkham Asylum. This MDF kit is an entire board on it's own.

How about some Joker and Harley goodies? The Killing Joke Joker is a new Leader and a very nice model while the Harley Gatling Brute brings some serious firepower to the crew.
You can even see a couple of yet unreleased Harley Thugs at the back of this picture. Next month maybe?

Two Face is getting a very nice boost this month. Spice and Thugs give the crew another Sidekick, Gas Masks, Rocket Launcher, Assault Carbine and more!

Are you more of a Scarecrow fan? He gets a set of very nice tokens as well as an Arkham Knight Militia booster of Medic and Rocket Launcher.

Do you miss the Bat-Builder? Well KM are here to help with the new Hero Builder Batman Crew Builder.

Last but not least, these are the first 4 factions for the 'coming soon' Marvel Game.

What catches your eye the most this week?

A Closer Look at Arkham Asylum

Hi all!
I did say I would give you a better look at the wonderful Arkham Asylum from Knight Models so here we are.
I have set up a little sample game so you can see how big it is compared to the minis from the Batman Minis Game. I will also state again that this is a 'prototype' and not the final kit so you will see a couple of areas where I have tweaked it a little. These have been reported back to KM and have been fixed already for production.

Guarding the front gate are a pair of angels. The base of the one on the right looks a little off as I wanted the wings on each to be central. It's an impressive entrance.

Inside the courtyard are a couple of watch towers. The Arkham guards are always armed a willing to stop an escapees. You may recognise these towers from the Arkham City game island.

Joker, Harley and a couple of goons walk out of the front door. I have added an extra step in front of the door to cover a small gap that was there.

The Green Arrow and his trusty Sidekick Speedy are perched on the roof ready for trouble.
Just to the right of Speedy you can see a small arch I have added to the parapet to cover another small gap.

Two Face and the Riddler climb out on to the balconies for a better look at the courtyard.
Beside the fence here there are a couple of panels i have added that could become electrical boxes. These cover a couple of holes the fences didn't quite line up to.

Another look at the front steps with Harley happily strolling towards the police.

The watchtowers are the perfect vantage point for Batman. He can zip up to them and even duck away in the guards hut if needed for extra cover.

The towers also have more than enough room to move around for a full view of the area.
I had to add the Arkham City Batmobile in the middle as that's where it spends most of the game parked.

Shortly after taking these photos, I got carried away with spray cans.
Lots more to do yet, but it's starting to take shape.

More soon,

Batman Exclusive Preview - Arkham Knight Harley Quinn Crew

Knight Models have just sent over an awesome preview. The first of their Arkham Knight releases.
A Harley Quinn Crew box!

After the events of Arkham City and the loss of her Puddin', Harley has lost it even more.
She has gathered together a selection of thugs and wants to take down B-Man once and for all.

The model is a great representation of Harley from the game. Darker and nastier than before. Her 'boys' bring along some new weapons as well. A sawn-off shotgun, jackhammer and chainsaw!!!!

Harley works as a new Leader model for the Joker crew. At 80 Rep and packing an SMG, she can cause a lot of problems on here own.
Harley's Special Traits of Bluff, Escape Artist and Play Nice show she has her 'boys' under control and trained to fool their opponents just like she can and if Mr J can't lay his hands on her any more, nobody can!

Being Joker Affiliation also means that this new Crew box already has a TON of Joker thugs already out that can be added to Harley's forces and an equipment list in the rulebook ready to go.

What do you think of Arkham Knight Harley Quinn and her crew?

Batman Model Review - Arkham Titan Joker

I think it's about time for some more reviews on here. Not done any for a while.
What better to start it off again with than this BEAST?

The new Titan Joker from the Arkham console games.

Titan Joker comes in a large blister and is the usual standard from Knight Models.
The parts are held in tightly with foam and the other side has a backing card showing a well painted version of the finished model.

Inside you will find a multi-part, 35mm scale, high detailed, metal model. It also contains a 40mm plastic lipped base and a fold out stat card.

His rules are impressive!
Titan Joker comes in at 130 Rep, $0 and is a Leader for a Joker crew.
His stats are crazy. Willpower 8, Strength 2+, Attack 5 and Endurance 10 mean he can go storming around the board making things go "squish" and not have to worry about much else.
Although he has no weapons, the Claws Trait make his unarmed Attacks get an extra Blood damage on top of the usual Stun.
Large,Luck and Sturdy give him some great defencive abilities while Tireless and Trickster make his Action Counters very flexible.
Top all that off with the Power Strike special attack that knocks opponents down and Titan Joker is a crew all on his own.

The model comes in 8 parts. Body front and back, head, spine spikes, legs and arms.
The fact the torso is hollow makes the model much lighter at the top so not as prone to falling over.

As you can see here, the mould lines are minimal. A little running around the edges but nothing that can't be fixed with a file and a couple of minutes.

On to the build.....

Titan Joker was a fairly easy build. The parts all fitted together really well.
It may look like there are gaps where they join but I think that's more the new glue I was using that makes them look a lot darker than they really are.
The only place they will need more than a quick run over with liquid green stuff is the top of the shoulder blades. A small gap there but not too bad for a metal multi-part model of this size. I have seen a lot worse.
I have mounted him on a base topper from Fenis Games to match the rest of my crew.

Until you put this model next to some others it's hard to really judge the pure HUGE size of it. The tiny Batman in the middle there is 35mm scale so bigger than most other human sized models on the market. Killer Croc was the largest in the Batman range up until now, but even he looks small next to Joker. Hulk is a bit bulkier, but still around the same size.

This guy just looks impressive no matter what.I think he's a must for anyone with a Joker crew.
Talking about crews, I have put together a little list to test him out with.

Leader - Titan Joker - 130 Rep - $0
Sidekick - Arkham Harley - 61 Rep - $0
Henchman - Sniggering - 25 Rep - $600
Henchman - Shield Clown - 16 Rep - $0
Henchman - August - 25 Rep - $0
Henchmen - Triston - 26 Rep - $300
Henchman - Tube Clown - 14 Rep - $0

This gives you a total crew of 297 Rep and $900. Not much room for extra equipment but it's a nice mix of ranged, combat and defence that should be able to take on all enemies.

Now is the big one, Price!
This huge Joker can be found on Wayland Games for £36. It may seem a bit much but this massive model is a great centrepiece for your crew or collection and is half a crew on his own. Models this size in other popular games are going to cost you a lot more.
Would I complain if he was £30 instead? Of course not! But, I can live with £36.

Overall, I love this Joker, Hes a beast in game and looks absolutely stunning.
He does cost a little more than I expected and needs a little extra work but taking everything into account I'm going to give him..........

9/10 Badger Points!

What do you think of him?
Will he be joining your collection?
