Knight Models Show Off Gotham at Barcelona Ficomic

Knight Models were at Barcelona Ficomic last weekend with an AMAZING display.
They have built large sections of Gotham City including some landmarks.

This just looks fantastic. I don't know if any of this will be entering the scenery range yet, but I'm trying to find out and will let you all know as soon as I do.

Nightwing and the Riddler fight it out it out on KM HQ.

I hope the GCPD station is produced. Would love a building like that on my board.
On the left you can also see a 'Hat' shop. A sign of things to come?

The Queen Industries tower is a mirrored wonder. Oliver knows how to spend his money.

The top of Wayne Enterprises. This would make an awesome centrepiece on anyboard.

Another view of the full city. If any make it to sale, I expect it will be the smaller ones shown here.

Bats walks out of Wayne Tower.
Isn't that going to give it away a little?

What do you think of Gotham City then?
Daunting or Inspiring?

Marvel and Batman March Releases

Knight Models posted up their new Marvel and Batman releases yesterday and WOW!
The March releases are very impressive.

First up is Norman Osborne a.k.a the Green Goblin. While the Marvel models don't have rules (yet) this is still a fantastic model. Captures the character perfectly.

For Batman, the releases are just as nice.
Penguin from the Gotham TV show looks just like the actor and gives the Penguin crew a new Leader or he can be used as a Sidekick for an Organised Crime crew.
Penguin's rules are HERE.

Talking of Organised Crime, Commissioner Loeb and the GCPD are coming as well.
Loeb can lead a Law force or be a sidekick for Organised Crime. Lieutenant Branden is also a Sidekick for Organised Crime, but he can also be a Sidekick for Law, Two Face and Black Mask.
Both of them are Corrupt meaning they can take up to 3 Law Henchmen in any crew they join, including SWAT as they also both have Elite Boss (SWAT).
The GCPD are filled out with a SWAT member with battering ram and a Detective.
The rules for all four can be found HERE.

The next two sets are some well needed Henchmen.
Two Face gets a two pack. One with a revolver and one with a shield and petrol bomb. Together they only come in at 33 Rep so easy to add to your crew.
Their rules are HERE.

The final model set is the stunning Blackgate Prisoners 2. These 4 chaps can be taken by ANY Villain crew. Coming in at just under 100 Rep, they can boost a crew where it needs help. The weapons and rules are great to. An electric baton, automatic gun, axe and bodyguard with brass knuckles means they have a man for almost any situation.
Rule for them are HERE.

As well as pretty models, KM carry on with their Gotham Scenography MDF range.
This month is a pair of very nice billboards featuring Penguin's Iceberg Lounge and Vicki Vale's chat show. They will make great rooftop cover for the Dark Knight.

What do you think of this months new goodies?
Will you be picking any of them up?

Arkham Dozen Painting - Take 2

A while back I joined in with a Batman painting challenge on the Arkham City Limits Facebook group.
The plan is to paint up 12 Knight Models figures over the course of a few weeks. They called it the Arkham Dozen.
My first choice was a whole load of characters. But as I haven't painted in a while, I decided to swap out most of them and go for easy to paint Henchmen to get me started.
I have posted my new 'Dozen' below.
All models are mounted on Post Apoc toppers from Fenris Games

A couple of points to keep in mind though....
1- I am NOT an experienced painter. I have only painted a handful of models in all my time gaming and those were quite a while ago.
2-  I am learning to use a new camera my wife bought me so the pictures may not be all that great yet.

So that's the excuses out of the way, onto the models.

Models 1-5. League of Shadows Ninjas. Finished.
I though these would be nice and simple to get me going. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out. I may go back and add a little more to the bases though.

Models 6+7. Arkham Robin and Arkham Batman. Finished.
You can't play the game without the Dynamic Duo can you?
For a first attempt, I like them. I AM going to do second copies of each once I get some more painting experience under my belt though.

Models 8-11. GCPD Police. Base coated.
These were chose for two reasons. 1- They seemed fairly easy to paint. 2- They will make a fully usable crew with Batman and Robin.

Model 12. Clayface. Base coated.
For the last one I wanted to do something a little bigger that can be used by most of the crews. Clayface seems to be a basic mix of browns so shouldn't be too difficult. He's also very impressive looking.

Extras.
If I get these finished soon, I'm also going to do Arkham Scarecrow and the GCPD SWAT. Mainly because I'm using those colours already. They will both be good crew additions as well.

Next up.
The next batch of 12, if we do it again, will be a couple of characters for the League, some Green Arrow good guys to use with the police and the start of my Joker and Harley crew.

What do you think so far?
Any and all comments are welcome.

Arkham City Limits Now Official! Jan Highlights

Penguin and Crew by Jorg Waitforit

I have mentioned the Facebook group Arkham City Limits on here a few times now as my favourite place to go for Batman Minis Game discussion and models.
Well, what was a fan group originally, has now become 100% official!
As of this week, Arkham City Limits is the official group for the Batman game with the full support of Knight Models
They even have a crew painting competition going on at the moment with the top 3 prizes being the special Talia tournemanet only card!

If that isn't enought to tempt you over to have a look, I have picked a few of my favourite images from the last month on there.

Adam Reeves has turned this Blackgate Prisoner into a Joker fan.

Adam has also created Soloman FUNdy

Andy Leighton's stunning Batman and Robin

Brandon Jackson has swapped Jokers knife out for a crowbar. Poor Jason.

Brandon has also painted up Bruce and Damien to take the Joker down

Crispian Woolford is working on a court house for Gotham. Dents building of choice.

Arkham Origins Bane by Edward Hanby

Jack Glanfield has been doing some amazing stuff with UV paint

Jack has also added large bronze statues to his board for that 90's movie feel

Green Arrow by Justin Timothy

Arkham City Batman by Kent Ing

Matthew Malcomson is creating Two Face Mobsters out of Black Mask Henchmen

ADAM WEST leads to cops. Painted by Myk Myers

Robert Zane Solo is working on a very impressive Ferris wheel for Jokers Fun Land

Scott Crowe has added extra vegetation to Ivy and her plants. Helped out by a great mettalic Deathstroke.

Wille Vertanen has DKR leader the Origins Bane Mercs. Helped out by Deadpool as a stand in for Deathstroke.
