New Knight Models Batman + Marvel Releases
It's that time of the month again folks, Knight Models have posted up their new Batman and Marvel releases.
I know I have said they are getting better each time, but this month they have really stepped it up and cranked out some stunning minis.
Rocket Raccoon, core member of the Guardians of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Although the Marvel models don't have rules yet, I'm glad he's out now for when the game happens.
Plus the model looks awesome.
Jason Todd a.k.a Red Hood. The second Robin turned bad then good(ish) again.
Red Hood is a 88 Rep $500 Free Agent for a Batman crew. Armed with Dual Handguns, the Takedown ability and the Arkham Knight themed Teamwork, he's a great addition.
Azreal, crusader for the Church of St.Dumas and potential replacement for Batman.
At 77 Rep and $150, Azreal adds a lot of Blood Damage as a Free Agent for Batman. His Sword of Sin is Sharp, has Crit Fire and even rolls two Crit dice and uses BOTH results.
Harley Quinn gets some help in the form of a Henchman pack. 38 Rep and $250 together they ar a good boost to her crew and the addition of an RPG will cause issues to the bigger foes.
Hugo Strange, creator of Arkham City leads his patients into the battle. Able to control and boost Henchmen with Mental Disorder Traits, Hugo is a bargain at only 44 Rep. He can be taken as a Free Agent with the Riddler, League of Shadows, Black Mask and Organised Crime.
The Arkham Inmates cost 67 Rep for the Free and can be taken by any Villain crew, They are better alongside Hugo though.
Previewed here recently, the Riddler appears with a whole Bot army.
The key points of this new crew are three different types of Bot that can be taken up to three times each and the fact they don't use normal objectives. Each model can lay down Clues during their activation and the VP per turn is worked out by the amount on the table. The opponent can remove them though!
Batman and Law Forces get a new Objective in the form of the Bat Signal.
This can be marked as On or Off by manipulating it and gives VP at the end of the round depending on the setting. It also has room to add an LED if you really want it to work.
Finally are some Riddler and Red Hood markers. Used for Willpower, Action Counters, Ammo or whatever you like.
What do you think of this new batch of releases?
Will you be picking any of them up?
I'm off to place a sizeable order!

500K Giveaway Winners!
It's here!500K hits!
That means that 5 of you will be getting these stunning minis from Knight Models.
But first of all I want to say a massive than you again to everyone that has read, shared, commented, supported and more over these last 500K hits.
If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't still be doing this. You make it a pleasure to write.
There's so much more I would like to say to all of you, but for once I don't know what to write!
It truly is humbling to think that so many people are interested in what I have to say.
So, who gets the goodies?
I went to the old Random Number Generator and keep drawing numbers until I had a winner for each model. This did take a few attempts because it kept picking people that wanted Arrow and Swamp Thing after those had already gone.
The winners are........................
Arrow - Alex Hood
Swamp Thing - redben
Red Hood - Todd Henry
Deathstroke - Mugu
Loki - Stuart Thomas
Congrats to all of you!
Please contact me within 7 days to claim your prize by emailing me HERE.
Any that aren't claimed by then will be drawn again.
To those that didn't win, keep an eye out as there will be more giveaways in the future.
Can this blog make it past another 500K hits? I hope so!
There is so much coming up over the next few months. Some bits I can't talk about yet *wink* but I will be sharing them all with you as soon as I can as well as tons of other articles I have planned.
What would you like to see?
Let me know in the comments below.

Over in the Arkham City Limits Facebook Group a copy of the new Batman Rulebook has appeared!
There has been some nice little hidden extras in there as well.

Next up is a new Trait, Corrupt. Looks like we will be getting some corrupt GCPD cops soon!
Could it be Com Loeb?
The final one for now (until more are found) is the one I'm the most excited about. The equipment list for a RIDDLER CREW! Yay! Can't wait to see what they do with this one.
Don't forget, we have a big Knight Models giveaway going on at the moment. 5 blisters for 5 winners at 500K hits. You can find it >HERE<.
If I don't reply to any comments straight away, it's because I'm waiting by the door for my books to arrive!

Batman Model Reiew - CWs Arrow and Jason Todd Red Hood
For this review I'm going to be looking at two of the January releases for the Batman Miniatures game from Knight Models.
A pair of 'good' guys that are considered to be more lethal vigilantes that clean the towns up in their own special, deadly ways.
I was over the moon when I spotted these up for order as they are probably two of my favourite DC characters.
CWs Arrow, Oliver Queen and the New 52 Red Hood, Jason Todd.
The packaging is the usual KM standards. Clear blisters that have the part held in tightly with foam and a backing card showing a painted version of the model which also doubles up as the stat card.b
Inside the blisters you will find two 35mm scale, metal, highly detailed, multi-part models.
Each comes with a 30mm plastic base and fold out stat card.
The Arrow is a 125 Rep $0 Leader for the Green Arrow crew. He has medium to high stats across the board and three different types of arrow. All arrows are Mechanic and have Aim. The Standard comes in at 2 Blood, Serrated is 2 Blood and Sharp and the Concussion has 1 Blood, 1 Stun and Flash. All that Blood damage makes me think that this Arrow is from Season 1 and not afraid to kill a bad guy or two.
Arrows Special Trait Multifire lets him increase his ROF by 2 if he doesn't move for 1 SC.
Combine all of this with his other Traits of Acrobat, Counterattack, Good Aim, Hook Arrow, Multifire, Shooter, Stealth and Weapon Master makes him a very dangerous member of your crew.
EDIT: Due to a misprint, Weapon Master on Arrow has been replaced with Master Marksman. MUCH better!
Red Hood is an 84 Rep, $400 Sidekick for the Batman and new Organised Crime crews. With stats only a little lower than Arrow's, Red Hood comes into his own when you look at his weapons and Traits.
A pair of 1 Blood, 1 Stun, ROF 3, Ammo 3 Automatic guns combined with Gunman means he can throw out a lot of bullets per turn. Red Hoods Special Trait adds to this by letting him shoot at enemies with full ROF while within 5cm of them.
His other Traits of Acrobat, Agile,Kevlar Vest, Martial Artist, Searcher and Shooter means the Red Hood can get where he needs to go, avoid damage and take down his targets easy enough.
A closer look at the models shows that fantastic detail.
Arrow comes in four parts. Body, quiver, bow and head. He also has an additional head so you can have him hood up or hood down.
Red Hood is a fairly simple model of only three parts. Main boy and two arms.
In my excitement to get these two built I 'may' have forgotten to take my usual mould lines picture.
To be honest, it wouldn't have shown much anyway. There was hardly anything on Arrow and Red Hood just had one up the side of his helmet that was easy enough to remove.
The builds for these two were really simple. The parts on each fitted together well with very small gaps on the joints that can be filled with a little liquid green stuff in minutes.
I chose the hooded head for Arrow because I'm terrible at faces.
Like the rest of my collection, I decided to cut off the tabs and mount them on Fenris Games Post Apoc base toppers.
"My name is Oliver Queen. For five years I was stranded on an island
with only one goal: survive. Now I will fulfill my father's dying wish.
To use the list of names he left me and bring down those who are
poisoning my city. To do this, I must become someone else. I must
become.. something else." - Arrow, Season 1
The Arrow model is stunning. I love it! The fact it has two head options lets people use the Arrow they want to as well. Or just buy two like I did.
Now the GA crew has an official Leader, I have put together a 300 Rep crew that will be tested out very soon.
Leader - Arrow - 125 Rep - $0
Sidekick - Speedy - 74 Rep - $200
Free Agent - Black Canary - 69 Rep - $0
Henchman - Baton Police - 16 Rep - $0
Henchman - Tonfa Police - 14 Rep - $0
At 298 Rep and $200, this leaves you some extra $$$ to give the police an extra piece of equipment each. Arrow and Speedy won't have any problem taking models out at range while Canary takes them on close up and the Police head for the objectives.
"I'm not talking about killing Penguin or Scarecrow or Dent. I'm talking
about him. Just him. And doing it because... Because he took me away
from you." - Jason Todd, Under the Red HoodRed Hood is another stunning model. Some people don't like the pose but I see him as dropping down into the middle of a group of Henchmen and taking out as many as he can.
It is a shame he cant work with Speedy though as an Outlaws crew would have been great.
The Organised Crime crew doesn't have many options at the moment, but the addition of Jason Todd to the Batman crew means all the boys can now be taken together. Dick, Jason, Tim and Damien.
Sidekick - Red Hood - 84 Rep - $400
Sidekick - Nightwing - 85 Rep - $0
Free Agent - Robin (Drake) - 68 Rep - $200
Free Agent - Robin (Damien) - 50 Rep - $0
Henchman - Tonfa Police - 14 Rep - $0
At 301 and Rep $600 it's a little (1 Rep) over the limit but who cares right? With only 1 Henchman available the boys will have to do most of the work themselves. I doubt that will be a problem though. Can't wait to try this one out.
Overall, I'm a massive fan of both of these releases. The scores come to......
Red Hood - 9/10 Badger Points
Arrow - 10/10 Badger Points
What do you think of these?
Will you be picking up either of them?

Red Hood and Loki join Arrow, Swamp Thing and more for the Jan Releases
The Knight Models Marvel and DC releases have just hit. They are awesome!
First up we have the anti-hero, Red Hood (Jason Todd). The model looks fantastic and his rule can be seen below.
Red Hood is an 84 Rep Sidekick for the Batman and Organised Crime crews. He goes up against 3 other Batman sidekicks, but if you wanted short ranged killing, Jason is your guy!
The Organised Crime Affiliation is great as it lets him run a street crew from Under the Red Hood.
The down side? Jason can't work with Speedy / Arsenal so no Red Hood and the Outlaws.
Next up we have this months only Marvel release. The God of Mischief, half brother of Thor, Loki.
Loki gets his classic comic look which is stunning. He doesn't have game rules yet, but Knight Models have said there is a game in the works.
The next Batman Minis Game release is Swamp Thing. While we did see a preview a couple of days ago, KM have now added his rules card as well.
A 150 Rep Ivy Sidekick with Affinity: Batman and a massive 11 Endurance! This guy is going to see a lot of table time on both sides of the law.
The final model for Jan is CWs Arrow. The preview was up last week but here it is again as a recap.
I can't wait to get Oliver to lead my Green Arrow crew. Plus it's the same week as the show starts again!
The Tokens this month are for the businessman of Gotham, the Penguin. The logo is great. Going to have to grab a couple of packs of these I think.
Last but not least are the Arkham City Warning Signs. These will be great for rooftop cover and LOS blocking.
Which is your favourite release this month?
What would you like to see with the new rulebook next month?
By the way, Knight Models have said that those people waiting for more Henchmen will be very happy next month.

Batman Rulebook Pre-Order, Page Previews and Exclusive Minis!
Knight Models have put up pre-orders for the Batman Mini Game rulebook along with some stunning exclusive minis. To go with this, Beasts of War have a load pf preview pages from the book for you to check out.
The standard version of the book comes with a very nice Alfred Pennyworth model if ordered before Feb 15th. But, there is another version.....
A limited edition Joker rulebook! A 500 copy run that comes with an alternate cover (maybe more?) and a Joker Red Hood instead of Alfred. This is the criminal that became the Joker we all know today.
A closer look at the Joker and Alfred models shows that they look fantastic. Knight have also confirmed that the Red Hood and Penny One WILL come with game rules!
In the page previews is a new gang equipment section. But this shows a lot of gangs not released yet.
Scarecrow, Mr Freeze (Yay!), Court of Owls, Wonderland, Green Arrow and Organised Crime. These should give you some ideas about what models are coming in the future. So many goodies!!!!!!
Another shot from the book, shows what could be future Gotham MDF scenery. Those buildings are impressive and I'm loving the monorail.
Downtown Gotham not your thing? How about a visit to Arkham Asylum?
Head over to the Knight Models Page if you want to grab one of these pre-orders.
I will leave you with some more page previews.
