The Future's Bright. The Future's.......... Badger
I thought it would be nice to put together a post on the future of my hobby and the future of this blog.
At the moment I have LOADS of models and different games lying around, and not enough time to finish or play them all.
So I have chosen to narrow down what I'm doing for a while.
My own hobby will be 3 games (for now) and the blog will have a couple more.
This blog is going to get a 'little' narrowed down. Some things going but some things getting added.
In the near future you will see-
Relics Reviews, General gaming news I like the look of, New products I find and like, Guest posts on Malifaux, and some surprises.
And content from and for my 3 chosen games (below)
Pulp City is my favourite skirmish game of all time. Amazing minis with brilliant rules.
What other game lets a 50 year old man wearing a train kill a vampire bulldog with a portaloo while a robot gorilla throws zombie superman off a building?
What you will see on here-
My own collect, paint and play ALL Pulp City models project
News and Reviews and of the game and minis
2012 11+1 painting challenge and Pulp City painting exchange
Theatrical battle reports, some in comic form
Reviews, building, painting and finished scenery from companies such as Sarissa Precision, Ainsty Castings and Fenris Games
My own paint schemes inspired my characters from Marvel and others.
MONSTERS! From a selection of different companies
And more
Pirates are my other main love. In any form. But Legends of the High Seas has 28mm ships as well!
Need to learn this game but from what I have seen and tried so far its great fun.
What you will see-
Reviews and battle reports from the game.
Painting, converting and reviews of pirate minis from companies like Black Scorpion and Black Cat Bases
SHIPS! Huge ones! From Ainsty Castings, Games of War and Minimi
Sea boards, islands and pirate ports with some weird and wonderful additions!
More piratey things
Infinity is the newest game to me. But after playing recently I have found its a lot of fun.
Started up a PanOceania force and really enjoying it.
What will be on here-
PanOceania models. Building, painting, reviews etc
Sci-Fi scenery that's home made and from Micro Art Studio and Sarissa Precision
Battle reports
News and anything else that comes up.
So, that's that!
Looks like I have lots of work to do!

New Models for Infinity - (And tokens?)
Over the last couple of weeks I have started to look at Infinity. A sci-fi skirmish game set in the near future.
After a demo game at the PAW convention and a couple of friends saying 'go on' I picked up a PanO force.
Still yet to learn how they work.
I have now started to keep an eye out for Infinity news. And today there was a whole batch of new releases posted. So I thought I would share them here as well. (click any pics for larger views)
Feb 2012 Infinity Releases
Aleph - Myrmidon with Spitfire
Nomads - Reverend Custodier w/ boarding shotgun
Yu Jing - Yaopu Pangguling w/ EVO repeater or combi rifle
And then there is my personnel favourite of the bunch.
PanOceania - Jotums TAG w/ Multi HMG + Heavy FT
To show you just how big this model is, there is also a scale shot
The other models in the above pic are standard 28mm models on 25mm bases.
Cant wait to get hold of this one!
There was also something else interesting in the pics that were shown.
Plastic tokens!
I wish I knew about these a couple of weeks ago. Spent soooooooo long cutting out a whole pile of cardboard ones. Oh well, they look nice and I'm sure I will be picking up a set or 2.
What do you think of the latest releases?
Which is your favourite? And why?

Ships, Ships and more ........... things!
I know there hasn't been much personal model content on here over the last week but that's because have been busy working on lots of projects.
First up, I have ordered a couple of ships! With interest in Legends of the High Seas growing in the area I have decided to pick up some transport for my crews.
The Games of War Sea Dog (above and 1st pic below) and the Minimi Small Sloop (2nd pic below)
Will take a closer look at those on here when they arrive.
Also started on some of the the new Black Scorpion pirates I picked up at the PAW show. Including the stunning Diamond Joe and Hired Hands.
At the other end of time, I have started up a rather sizable force of Pan Oceania for Infinity. again picked up at PAW. Still learning how to play though. I know its odd for me to have some sci-fi but I quite enjoy it.
Minis being built include the PanO Cutter and Military Orders starter box.
Both have reviews lined up for the blog in the next few days.
To help us play Infinity, a couple of us have being doing abit of a scenery remodel. Almost 2 cities worth of 40K scenery now have extra cover, ladders, more walls and less open windows. Should give NO LoS from one board edge to the other.
Then theres my ever growing Pulp City collection.
With the website and forum having bugs over the last few days I have been at the models more and on the laptop less. (all seems to be working now though)
On the table is a painting exchange mini for Darth Tater, Dr Merc and Avatar of the Jaguar for Varagons 2012 11+1 painting challenge and a couple of my show Supremes that I think need abit more highlighting.
Plus a pile of yet to be made Heros and Villains. Oh well, will keep me busy for a while.
Also having a big ebay clearout. Everything from Monsterpocalypse to Puppet Wars (inc Ltd Ed Teddies). And loads in between.
If it has sat in a box for that long, Im obviously not going to use it!
And how do I finish a rather eclectic post like this?
By saying................................ I HAVE MY SALUTE TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
Cant wait for April now.
Im heading back to the pile of metal in the corner.

PAW 2012 - Con Report
As some readers may already know, we went to PAW 2012 this weekend. Running 2 Pulp City demonstration and participation tables.
Lets start off with a look at out lay out.
Along with the Sarissa Precision buildings (that almost every player took a card for becaused they loved them) and Fat Dragon roads there were lots of extra scenery bits from Fenris Games. (All links on this page)
To top it off, my lovely wife made some 'Comic Book Noises' to draw in the crowds. And boy did it work!
On the first day we had at least 1 table going all day and the other for most of it.
I had painted up 2 teams to start with (2nd pic behind cards) and Andy had painted up a lot of his Supremes as well (3rd pic on stand).
The players could then pic Heros or Villains and 2-3 models they liked the look of.
I know this may have been a touch more complicated than us picking the simple ones but the added effect of people being able to use what they like instead of just what they are given seemed to really fuel the enjoyment of the games.
Time for a few in game shots.
After 2 days worth of games, we had a LOT of happy players with a new love for Pulp. Some even started looking up the website on their phones as they were at the table!
A couple of players had seen Pulp City before am liked some models we didn't have painted up.
But WIP in a bag under the table was about 70% of the entire range. So if they really wanted to use a certain Supreme, we let them.
He is the card layout for the some we had and even an example of the Pulp Monster kit!
At the end of the weekend I think our table was a MASSIVE success. All players enjoyed the games, especially the guys from the Brixham Berserkers who shout cheesy one liners with each attack, and so did we.
With 3 people running our games there were chances to go and take a look at all the other stalls and games that were there. And even try some of them out.
I did have a couple of favourites.
Frag 3D by Trelawneys Armies Gaming Society was a lot of fun. It was quick and simple but still enjoyable at the same time. A bit like laser tag with heavy weapons and nukes.
Next was my personal favourite of the show - Infinity, run by Wargaming Trader
A brutal and fast sci-fi skirmish game where you get to attack the enemy as soon as you can see them. In their own turn!
The table was lovely as well. Glow stick street lights and an LED text ball.
What about the stalls?
Apart from stocking lots of great things at even better prices, they were dangerous.
I ended up with another Cutlass crew, a second Malifaux crew, some Heroclix to make Pulp City Minions and a whole Infinity PanO army! Plus shiny new metal dice. Whoops!
So, that was my time at PAW 2012. Really enjoyed the whole weekend and already booked in again for next year. There would have been more pics and more detailed reports of the games but I just got carried away with it all and forgot to take more or write anything down. (Even forgot to eat on the first day)
