WIP of a New City Game Board

With us picking up the Batman Minis Game and with Pulp City Supreme Edition shipping soon, I thought it was about time for a new game board.
Sorry for the dodgy picture quality. My camera has been playing up.

After a chat with my local carpenter friend Aaron, he arrived at my door with this nice little board. 3 feet x 3 feet. 5 inch wide roads and rounded street corners.

It wasn't long before I wanted to stick some buildings and models on it and see how it looked.
Minutes later, Batman and the Green Arrow faced off against Deathstroke, Bane and the Riddler.

Here are some shots of the full layout at the moment.

The main buildings are the 28mm CityBlock range from Sarissa Precision, lots of the smaller scenery bits are from Fenris Games and the rest is stuff I have picked up over a couple of years but don't remember where from.

It isn't finished yet though. I want to try and find some more low cover to spread around and there is a nice Pub I have on the way from Timeline Miniatures.

THEN, there are the goodies Knight Models  are working on. Anyone for an Asylum?

Pulp City News from Salute 2012

My first post this week was going to be a report on my first ever visit to Salute,
But, I came home with MAN FLU!!!!!!!
So instead of a full report, Im going to start with the info I have been asked about the most.
The Pulp City news!

To start with, 4 new minis were on display.
The Lvl3 leader of the Jade Cult, the Green Emperor (above)
I love this sculpt. Such a dynamic pose ant the detail is stunning.

The others were new Grimm.

2 new Grimm to join the Supreme Grimm (left and right) and a Monster Hunter Grimm to go with the Monster rules (middle)


Talking of the Monster rules, the rumour was heard that they are due next month. Didnt hear that one myself though.

Maciej also has a tablet with LOTS of pics of new PC minis.

Geurilla Mk2 - Bigger, Badder, Nastier and alot more dangerous looking

Papa Zombie - Very close to the artwork from what I could tell

100 Voices - Wow! Great cloak with haunting faces in wrapped around him

100 Voices Imps - 3 or 4 - Very detailed and characterfull minis. Each the memories of a murderer

Aurelius - IMO he was even better than the artwork!

Ace of Wraiths 2 - Amazing. Looks more 'western' and more imposing

Nuke 2 - Bigger and badder! Much bulkier than the original

VH - Not what I was expecting. Very fem-fatale. Looked like a sword and catsuit

Terror Cotta Warriors - 3 heads options. Ancient, circuits and metal. 2 right arm weapons. Spear and rocket launcher. Left arm looked like a repulsor

Next wave is due late this year.
The Grimm will be getting new rules at some point aswell so they can be used on thier own. A Grimm sub-faction maybe?

While talking about the Grimm, Maciej mentioned a new 'large' model in the works using 3d printing. Not sure if its a Supreme or not though.

One other thing that may interest Pulp City players

I had a quick chat with Steve at Sarissa Precision about thier CityBlock range and found out it will be getting afew new additions in the near future. Including gable end windows, pitched roofs and foortop stairwell entrances.

All in all, its going to be a good year to be a Pulp City player!

Exclusive - Sarissa Precision New 28mm CityBlock Warehouse

The guys over at Sarissa Precision have given me the great opportunity to post an exclusive first look at their newest and largest product. The....

New 28mm CityBlock Warehouse

(Thats a 30mm base mini to show the scale)

I already have the rest of the CityBlock range as you may have seen in earlier posts and love them. The best scenery I have ever owned.
So when Sarissa Precision gave me the chance to get my hands on the new Warehouse early I jumped at the chance!

Lets start off with a look at what you get in the kit. (Again with 30mm mini for scale)

Its alot of parts compared to the standard CityBlock buildings, but theres so much more detail on this one.
The brickwork and windows are the same high quality as the others but this one has more steps, stairs and new additions like a loading bay, loading doors and internal office floors with supports.

The instructions that come with the kit are very easy to follow and walk you through it section by section with pictures which is a great help. After some sticking and building this afternoon I have finished up with this...

As well as four loose wooden crates (which will be perfect to throw about in Pulp City) the rear doors have stands on the back so they can be left open or closed.

You may be able to tell for the above picture, the roof is removable.
The other end of the interior shows 2 floors of offices. With the top one being removable.

This is a perfect piece for any game based from 1900 to near future. Especially games like Pulp City. It could even be a Guild Warehouse in Malifaux, an Infinity hideout or a Warmachine Cygnar storage facility.
You can paint these kits and I am going to try with a extra bit that came with one of the other buildings to see what it looks like. (I will post my results up here when I do it)
But I really like to sandstone style look to these buildings as they are. So thats how my modern city is going to stay.
I am working on some more bits for my city at the moment but I will soon show the entire setup with the Warehouse at center stage.

Sarissa Precision should have this kit up on thier site very soon for the great price of £50 with free P+P.
Aswell as the CityBlock range they also do 25mm Old West, Heroic Old West (Perfect for Malifaux), 15mm WW2 and 28mm WW2.
They also do a whole range of tokens and movement trays.
I highly recommend Sarissa. They have been great to deal with and produce some amazing scenery pieces.
Go and check them out. there WILL be something you like.
