Pulp City is Invaded by Ninja Assassins! (updated)
The first of the Jade Cult Assassins has been posted up today on the Pulp City Facebook page. (Click pics to view larger)
A new type of Minion that can be taken with the other members of the Jade Cult, Heros including Crimson Oni and ,Im not certain on this last one, maybe Villains in general?
They come in pairs but the kits have a huge amount of options.
2 bodies, 4 heads and 4 weapon sets. Thats a whole lot of options.
A teaser image was posted a while back that shows a couple of the other parts.
I have also dug up the concept image that was on the PC fourm a while back. Not gratly detailed but I think the minis have captured the look, feel and movement perfectly.
I think these model look amazing. Very dynamic and wonderfuly detailed. Really looking forward to picking up a set or 2 for my Heros and Villains. Got some colour schemes in mind and I have even seen all the parts yet.
You will be able to take 1 card of them at a time, thats 2 minis, but when the Green Emporer is released he will be able to take alot more of them. A whole army of Ninjas? Yes please!
The Jade Cult Assassins are due out with the next wave of Pulp City Supremes and will be boxed with the Green Emporers daughter, the Green Serpent (shown below)
Over on the Pen and Lead Blog there is also a quick word from Morf, the head of Pulp City, on these models.
"… the batch of sculpts from James and I took them immediately to MaxMini for casting.
I got to say this is just one of my favorite batches: hyper dynamic (hey, it’s ninjas!) super sexy minis!
There are two ninja Supremes (male and female), multipart ninjas (2 body types, 8 weapons and arms, 4 heads – all very user friendly as they hold almost with no glue) and the Green Emperor who is just really menacing as he draws his sword.
But it’s not just villains – Heroes will be able to use ninjas as well, and all Hero players will be happy to see a whole new team building option that gives special bonuses if you build your team with the martial arts theme (yes, that means Chronin side by side with Chimp Chi)."
Sounds like the new models are going to give alot more options to all players. Really like the idea of a martial arts Hero team!
This is shaping up to be an amazing wave of releases for Pulp City.
With the above models there will also be Foxxy Blade, Crimson Oni, Doom Train, Night Fright, Tanuki and the Shadow Mask.
Is you want to find out more about these minis then head over to the PC Forum

Had a switch around. What do you think?
Hi all,
I have been having a play with the sizing and layout of the blog today.
What do you think of the changes?
Is there anything else you would suggest I do?
Cheers

Pulp City Highways Agency have been hard at work + PC Mini Exchange
As you can see in the title, the Pulp City Highways Agency dont get much of a break over the holidays.
Ok, maybe it wasnt them. Maybe it was me,
I have been working on road tiles for my Pulp board. Using the Fat Dragon Games, Catipal City set I decided to go for 7.5" squares.
The recommened size for a game is 30"x30". 16 tiles.
But I also wanted enough for a full 4'x4' board with options.
Ended up with a whopping 64 tiles! (whoops, went over the top a little)
To show the scale I have included 30mm, 40mm and 80mm bases. Plus the massive Sarissa Precision warehouse.
They have all been mounted on a thick backing card. The kind used for portfolios.
Sounds easy doesnt it!
Trying to cut thick card into 64 perfect squares that will butt up to each other takes a long time! Binned atleast a dozen.
There are 5 different styles in the set with options to make loads of little detail changes before printing. Giving you 1000s of combinations. From clean new roads to broken, littered streets with chalk outlines.
Im sort of guessed at how many of each to do. The junctions and crossroads wont need too many of each. So most of them are straight roads and filler pavements with afew corners.
How about a look at how they lay out then?
A 30"x30" board. The recommended size for most Pulp City games. Not really set out to play on. Just put a load together.
After that I decided to expand it a little. Full sixe 4'x4' board.
These are going to be the base of the Pulp City board for the PAW convention next month.
And what else will it include?
A whole city section of Sarissa buildings, a park area with memorial fountain, an urban canal and LOTS of other bits and pieces.
I will post up the other parts as I work on them but the entire setup wont be seen until PAW weekend (which I will also report on here)
Now, what about that mini exchange in the title?
Varagon, from the Pen and Lead Blog is organising a mini exchange between members of the Pulp city forums.
I think this is a great idea so had my name down right away. If you want to take part or just see whats going on, follow the blog link above.

New Fantasy Range from the makers of Pulp City - Reaver Lords
Maciej, the head of Pulp Monsters and creator of Pulp City, today unveiled the first of his new fantasy range on facebook >>HERE<<
Reaver Lords!
(Direct quotes from the Reaver Lords FB page)
"Welcome to Reaver Lords. So it's on. I won't be lying to you, it is a very personal project, the kind of fantasy that I always wanted to see and play with. More dark than light, more adult than not. The world of Reaver Lords is the playground. With the vital contribution of the multi-talented artist Liam C. we are not reinventing the wheel - we are just making it very shiny in a grizzly way.
First: we have initial 6 Reaver Lords and one Avatar of the Black Sun (enemy), Second: we are working on a miniature board game but no dates and promises here :)
The sizing on the Reaver Lords is far from the usual We-are-all-32mm approach, elves, being the tallest are around 40 mm, humans are 30-33 but some, like Njall the barbarian king just dwarf them."
How about we take a look at the first mini and the concept artwork then?
"Sollyn is the name born by all heirs to the moon kingdom of Sollyn. When the Slumber reduced the elven numbers to dozens, the last of the Sollyns stripped himself from the title and frightened visitors to this once lush kingdom talk of Shadow Prince."
"Sculpted by the amazing Rémy Tremblay, Shadow Prince is everything we want the elves of the Reaver Lords world to be: dangerous like their sleeping snake god Ouroboros, very tall yet lightning fast."
"Reaver Lords Dictionary - Slumber: The day when all of the higher powers directly bound to the World fell asleep for the yet unknown reason. Their hold of the universe grew weaker and weaker and parts of the material world started fading."
All I can say is, WOW!
Thats an amazing mini. And going to be quite a fair size by the sound of things aswell.
I havent ever really been a fan of fantasy games but if the minis keep on coming looking like this then I will definatly be picking them up.
Looking forward to how this range goes. And will be keeping a close eye on it. And if you want to then you can on thier Facebook Page
As soon as they are available and I cant get my hands on then, Im sure the minis will appear on here aswell.
Thats all for now

What do you want to see on ToaTS in 2012?
To start off with, Happy New Year to all readers, viewers, random clickers, linked blogs and blog networks.
Over the last couple of months there have been some major changes in my life.
I am now a daddy as you may have seen to little James. 6 weeks old. (This is why there has been more news than anything else on here recently. Hooby time got cut)
I am also no longer a Press Ganger for Privateer Press. With so much going on I just couldnt fit everything thing in so thought it fair to resign and let someone thats has more free time take on the position.
(If your in cornwall and love PP, go for the PG apllication)
I will still be playing Warmachine and Hordes with my Talion Pirates and Blindwater Gators though. Cant wait for Roci and the new Gator Beasts to come out.
The new releases, previews and any events I attend will still be here aswell.
The site address 'pressganger.blogspot.com' will stay the same for a couple of reasons.
1- I love anything to do with Pirates! In fact some people say I even have Pirate OCD. Also plan to cover some Piratey games like Cutlass, Legends of the High Seas, Freebooters Fate, Ron + Bones, Uncharted Seas and Trafalgar.
2- Looking at the stats on this page there are links to different posts all over the place. Changing the addresss would stop all these working and thats not fair to people who want to follow any of them.
After all of this you may have noticed a name change. This blog is now Tales of a Tabletop Skirmisher.
Right, onto the main point if this post,
What do you want to see on Tales of a Tabletop Skirmisher in 2012?
(before the world ends that is)
More news?
My own models, projects and terrain?
Certain games? Pulp City, Relics, WarmaHordes etc
Or anything else you can think of
Looking forward to seeing what you want.
