Hey folk, I'm back!
Been a long couple of weeks ending in a fantastic day at Wollaton Hall a.k.a Wayne Manor playing Batman!

While we get results and such sorted (and all catch up with some sleep) enjoy these pics from the event.

Going Quiet But Don't Forget the Fundraiser and Tournament!

Hi all,
I will be going quiet on here, Facebook and the Wayland Blog for the next couple of weeks due to a ton of work that I need to catch up on. I should be back to normal by the end of the month though.

But while I'm gone, don't forget about out Little Heroes Charity Fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association.
Lots of model entries and lots of prizes have come in already so check out the main post and take part to help out! Deadline for minis to be in is Oct 21st.

There is also the Batman Day Tournament in a couple of weeks with lots of goodies on offer.
Knight models posted this about it a couple of days ago.

"Like many of you already know, on September 26th, DC comics and Knight Models want to celebrate the Bat-Day with a special worldwide event with five differents tournamets located in Canada, Spain, U.K. and U.S.A.

These tournaments will have different activities like cosplay contest, draws for all the participants, painting course, and much more! 

DC comics and Knight Models have donated more than $1200 in prizes for each tournament, such prizes will be:

On the part of DC comics, the prizes will consist of different comics based on DC universe and Knight Models will donate rulebooks, miniatures and terrain for the Batman Miniature Game.

Today we would like to introduce the events for the U.K. and Canada and their organizers.

U.K. event:

Bearing in mind that the day of the tournament it’s the same day as Bat-Day, there can be no better place to the host the UK leg of the tournament than Wayne Manor, home of Bruce Wayne and Batman In the Christopher Nolan movie: The Dark Knight Rises. Animosity Wargaming events bring you to Wayne Manor to take part in the Batday- tournament.

I'm in Tabletop Gaming Magazine with Batman!

Today I am very VERY excited.
My first published article in an actual magazine! Yay!

Tabletop Gaming Magazine Issue 2 is out today in the UK at WH Smiths and many other newsagents. It's also available digitally via Pocketmags.

There's a great into to Batman article in there as well as tons of other gaming goodness.
I highly recommend checking it out!

UK Batman Tournament Prizes and New Ruling

More goodies have arrived for the UK Batman Day Tournament. Lots of Batman minis and some Joker Rulebooks from Knight Models.

Plus the TWO Arkham Asylums shown the other day, loads of Batman themed goodies and more to come from DC.

£12.50 to take part, You could win 2 - 25 times that worth of stuff!

Knight have also made a ruling on using third party items and for model conversions.


"Good morning guys
We have made a decision about the proxies issue. We value the creativity of our community so we will allow conversions over Knight Models miniatures (the conversion has to be approximately 50% our models), markers, sewers, lampposts and objective markers handmade are also allowed.
Forbidden is any stuff from an unlicensed brand, so the markers, sewers, lamppost and objective markers of another brand are not allowed in a Knight Models official tournament. If any player attends an official Knight Models tournament with illegal proxies from another company, they will be disqualified from the tournament. Thank you very much!"

This isn't intended to stop people being create, just stop the 3rd party unlicensed products that are sold as 'made for BMG' being used at an even backed by DC.

Homemade or kitbash? Fine!

Coloured counters or drawn on bases? Not a problem!

Sets of Lamps or Counters sold but other companies for the game as cheaper alternatives? Nope!

If KM get in trouble for allowing 'rip-off' type products, we could ALL lose out on a great game.
