Congrats to all of you!
As for he break mentioned in the title, this is going to be the last post on here for a while.
Basically I have been suffering from MAJOR gaming burnout. Just need to back away from the blog and the hobby for a while.
Things have started to seem like a chore rather than an enjoyment so its time to rethink and refresh.
When coming back to it, I want my hobby to be MY hobby again. Having the passion to do it for myself because I want to and I enjoy it. Not for anybody or anything else or not based on stuff by anyone else.
Make sense? Probably not. Oh well.
I hope you can all understand and I will see you again soon.
until then.

The stats for these are going to be a surprise.
For more info and rules insights on the Batman Miniatures game, keep an eye on the Mistycball Blog. It's in Spanish but for those that don't speak Spanish you can go to the page via Google Translate.

Even More Deep Wars! Dark Mariners Heavy Biomech and the Rest of the Stretch Goals
Antimatter Games have been showing loads of new Deep Wars models coming up to the Kickstarter target of July. Even though I shared some just a couple of days ago, they have posted another HUGE beastie.
This is the Dark Mariners Heavy Biomech. A design that has been around since the art of the ShadowSea game, the model was funded as part of the Deep Wars Kickstarter stretch goals.
At the top you can see a size comparison shot next to 2 30mm based models. They are on high bases and one is even swimming above and they still look small next to the Biomech.
Below are some different angle shots so you see all the amazing detail Bob Olley has put into this piece and below that is a list of the Stretch Goals and how they are progressing.
The Deep Wars Mini-Kickstarter unlocked all sorts of underwater goodies with its campaign and chip-in option.
I have marked each with the faction they belong to and posted the most recent pictures of each in the order they are listed.

New Info on Shadow Sea 2nd Edition
Antimatter Games have posted some info on the planned next edition of Shadow Sea. The land based side of Deep Wars.
This was posted on the old ShadowSea Kickstarter -
The previous post had some good feedback and has helped identify things people want to see and what is probably not a good idea. What seems to work best is to keep the forces small and focused like in DeepWars, with lots of character for each troop type. We will stick to the starter sets with 5 models per box but we will try to have all of them metal this time. The initial forces will be Fortune Hunters and Dark Mariners, with the Axibalan empire coming next as a stretch goal, then Draconid Legion. Other mercenary forces will be unlocked after that along with the supplements for different regions of the Underlands. The starting date would be after the DeepWars rewards all ship, so probably late August.
Stygian Depths - snakemen and demons, tiles mixing the dungeons with natural caverns in one tile pack to keep it simpler. Fewer quest chambers. Cards for magic items, treasures, encounters, traps, etc so everything is random.
Sunless Forest - Sunless Kingdom minis - trogs, clal-chk, garks, etc. maze of fungal tress and unnatural formations. Outdoor hazards, traps, new treasure types, biotech artifact cards.
Sunken Citadel - Order of Yosoth sorcerers, Ethereals - underwater tunnels, chambers, water-filled rooms, tie with DeepWars more, new spell types, artifact cards.
Those supplements and new figures could be 10k each as stretch goals, so the project would have to get successful to fund them.
Interspersed with the main core items would be commanders, heroes and big models. One of the first "special items" will be Azcalta – Mistress of the Apocalypse with her "assistant". This is the WIP of the concept art.
What are your thoughts on these new plans?

Build it ........... and they will come!
I really don't know who 'they' are but it sounded like a good title in my head.
With that and the above picture, I bet you can guess what this is about! Yep, building things!
Like most gamers I have all sorts of models lying around waiting for a bit of TLC. All of it needs building and painting. If I do the first, I then have no reason not to do the second!
My plan is to take the 3 main piles and build EVERY official model in them before I do anything else hobby wise. I say 'official' as I have several random models I want to add to games but I want to get all of the actual game ranges ones done first. The rest can wait for another time.
I thought I would photograph and list what I will be doing on here so you can see what I am up against.
I have 1 mini to paint for a forum exchange and then I can begin.
Pulp City - A couple of these are replacements for minis that have been damaged, some are doubles for alternate colour schemes and one is brand new and unseen! But you cant see that one properly in this photo. Mwah ha ha ha ha!
To do we have-
Giant Hadron, Sgt Bale, Doom Train, Shadow Mask, Green Serpent, Sanguine + Draku, 4x Ninjas, Sovereign, Perun, CORE, Jade Hawk, Tritonius and the other one!
There are now monthly releases for Pulp City so I'm sure this pile will get a couple of models a month if its not finished.
DreadBall - This is all of Season 2 plus some other bits. That's a lot of mould lines!
There is -
Female Corporation x 10 + Helder
Z'Zor x 10 + Ludwig
Robots x 30 (10 of each position) + Firewall
Judwan x 10 + Mee'kel
Buzzcut, Gabe and Rico
All 5 Coaches, 4x Cheerleaders and 4x Trophies
Need to get these done quickly as I hear that Season 3 will be coming around the end of August.
Deep Wars - This drawer is basically everything for the game apart from the deluxe starter sets.
It includes-
Ancients of Atalan - Commander, 2x Shark Mech, Conjouror of the Ethers, 2x Elite Soldier, Crab Mech, 2x Mantaray Mech and Xicana the Elementalist,
Dark Mariners - Commander, Cephalid Biomancer, Deepspawn Reaver, Cavern Crawler, Siren of the Deep, Vanguard Captain and Vanguard Heavy Support.
Fortune Hunters - Commander, Big Game Hunter, Breaching Mech, Arcane Researcher, Sea Dog and a Silent Soldier.
Scaly Horde - 2x Commander, 2x Dire Fish Lizard, 2x Hag Ray, Steeljaw Placoderm
Plus 1 huge Ancient Weapon
Not long at all to finish these. The rest of the Kickstarter shipment is due towards the end of July. That's going to be at least 17 new minis including some very big ones and some more of the terrain pieces.
There it is then. My crazy building project.
How are your 'to build' piles looking?

X-Wing Wave 3!
Fantasy Flight Games have shown the 3rd wave of ships for the X-Wing miniatures game.
Not much is known about what they do yet apart from what is in the pictures and to be honest I don't know a huge amount about Star Wars, I just really like the game, so I will leave you the little bit about each ship that is posted on the FFG site.
HWK-290 Expansion Pack
Designed by Corellian Engineering Corporation to resemble a bird in flight, the “hawk” series excels in its role as a personal transport. The HWK-290 Expansion Pack comes with one detailed miniature at 1/270 scale, a manoeuvre dial, all necessary tokens, six upgrades, and four pilots, including the renowned Kyle Katarn. Each HWK-290 provides a wide range of support options for your squad and can be outfitted with both a turret weapon and crew member.
B-Wing Expansion Pack
Bring the B-wing to your games of X-Wing with the B-Wing Expansion Pack. The B-wing’s heavy weapons array and resilient shielding quickly solidified it as the Alliance’s most formidable assault fighter. Accordingly, the B-Wing Expansion Pack packs a mighty punch! The B-wing can wield as many as two torpedoes, as well as a cannon, and it can be equipped with a system upgrade for precision targeting. The B-Wing Expansion Pack contains a stunning miniature at 1/270 scale, a manoeuvre dial, all necessary tokens, four ship cards, and a devastating arsenal of five upgrade cards.
Lambda-class Shuttle Expansion Pack
Noted for its tri-wing design, the Lambda-class shuttle served a critical role as a light utility craft in the Imperial Navy. Now you can use this utilitarian ship to strengthen your Imperial squad for X-Wing! The Lambda–class Shuttle Expansion Pack includes one large-base Lambda-class shuttle miniature at 1/270 scale, its manoeuvre dial, all necessary tokens, four ship cards, and a whopping twelve upgrades, which afford Imperial players an astonishing level of customisation and control of their squads.
TIE Bomber Expansion Pack
While not as agile or fast as other TIE variants, the TIE bomber is capable of delivering an astonishing payload, and the TIE Bomber Expansion Pack carries enough firepower to destroy virtually any enemy target. Each TIE bomber is capable of carrying two torpedoes, two missiles, and one bomb. Accordingly, the expansion’s five upgrade cards present you with a wide array of armaments, including the punishing Proton Bombs. You’ll also find a striking miniature, a manoeuvre dial, all necessary tokens, and four talented new pilots.
You can see more about the cards included in these packs in the X-Wing News (link) section of the Fantasy Flight website.
I know I will be picking up at least 2 each of the TIE Bombers and Lambda shuttle. What about you?

DreadBall Season 3 previews appear
As the title says, DreadBall Season 3 previews have started to appear from Mantic Games.
Above is the new MVP, the Praetorian. An Asterian Cypher that has some links with the Judwan.
The Asterian Team and MVP Mellissandra have also been shown. The paint job is WIP but the models are looking very nice. Its a shame they didn't come with helmets like they had in the original artwork though.
Season 3 sees the introduction of multi-hex models or Giants as Jake Thornton calls they.
The DreadBall Mech is looking awesome and dwarfs the Enforcer.
Another of the new S3 teams is the Zee. A team of little clones. It has been mentioned they will be able to have more than 6 players on the pitch at a time.
The dino-lizard-men Terratons will be teleporting onto the pitch soon. Not sure how teleport movement will work in the game but cant wait to find out.
On the far left of this case you can see another multi-hex Giant. The Alpha Simian. Those green claws look dangerous.
Along with the Season 3 goodies there will also be some of the MVPs in the Season 2 book. The first being Wyn, the Robot only player that was a Kickstarter exclusive.
If you like the look of DreadBall but not picked it up yet then check out our 500th post giveaway running until tomorrow night. Just leave a comment HERE for a chance to win a DreadBall Kick Off edition box or a signed art print.
Which one of the S3 models are you looking forward to the most?
